Complete application and pay $125.00 fee |

Complete 180 hours of approved courses, 40 hours of which must be unpaid field based inspections under the supervision of a licensed home inspector from the school providing your education you will need to provide the certificates of completion awarded by the school to the Committee. You may also meet the education requirements by submitting proof of 250 fee paid home inspections performed in the presence of and under the direct supervision of a license home inspector (after the committee receives your application they will randomly audit this list and request 25 home inspection reports be submitted for evaluation, you must also submit proof of supervision by submitting the certifications of on site direct supervision under a license home inspector which must coincide with the 250 home inspections provided) to view these requirements in more detail click here |

Provide proof of errors and omissions insurance in the minimum amount of $500,000.00 per occurrence. This must be secure, maintained and on file with the Committee. The insurance carrier must submit proof of the coverage by providing an original certificate of insurance, stating all individuals covered under the policy, directly to the Committee office with your application # prominently referenced on it. The committee must also be referenced as a certificate holder in the event that the policy is renewed, altered or canceled. |

Pass the National Home Inspector Examination (EBPHI) and provide proof in the form of the original score card to the Committee
(Please be aware that any submission to the Committee must prominently display your assigned application number which will be assigned upon receipt of application. |

Have a high school diploma or equivalent. |

Have engaged as a licensed associate home inspector for at least one year and have completed 100 home inspections for compensation or equivalent education and experience that the Board would approve or be license as a general contractor, architect, or professional engineer. |

Have a minimum net assets or a bond in an amount determined by the Board (not less than $5,000 nor more than $10,000) |

Submit the Board prescribed application and required fee of $25 once application is accepted you will receive an exam registration form in the mail. For directions on how to fill out the application please click here. |

Once the exam registration form is received you must send the form along with the $75.00 fee to the Board by the deadline date. Applicant will be sent a seating notice prior to the exam. After successfully completing the exam applicant must pay the initial license fee before October 1st which is $150.00. |

| Every license will expire every two years and licensees must complete 40 hours of continuing education |
